About this site

Hi, I’m Brent Visser. I’m a doctoral candidate nearing my defense, and my day job is studying the biophysics of protein aggregation and biomolecular condensates, and how aggregation happens in model neuron systems. Now that I'm finishing my thesis, I felt the urge to write a bit more, so I decided to start up this blog.

MeasuredThinking is my public notebook. I write about science, tech and code, philosophical questions, and most importantly, provide a skeptical view on topics. I also keep room for smaller hobbies, including the occasional deep dive into video games like OSRS and League of Legends.
